Our 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet is sourced from three of Napa's finest properties, Broken Rock on the eastern ridge of the valley at the base of Atlas Peak, Melrose Vineyard which produces beautiful benchland fruit and the hilltop fruit from Stagecoach Vineyard on Atlas Peak high in the Vaca Mountains on Napa's eastern ridge. Each vineyard contributes its unique characteristics to create a wine reflecting the complex range of Napa's aromas and flavors. It's a classic Napa Cab that is approachable while young but with the structure to improve with age.

SoMa’s 2018 Cuvée Rive Gauche is a classic Left Bank Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend typically found in the Médoc. The 2018 is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon from the left bank villages of Pauillac, Margaux, Saint-Julian and Saint-Estèphe . The Cab is blended with 20% Merlot from vineyards in Saint-Émilion and Pomerol and 10% Cabernet Franc from Saint-Émilion. This is a beautiful well structured cabernet sauvignon blend.

For our 2017 Left Bank Cuvée, we blended 70% Cabernet Sauvignon fruit with 20% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The Demi-Lune vineyard in St. Estephe has always contributed Cabernet Sauvignon with structure to our Left Bank Blend and 2017 was no exception. The fruit flavors are enhanced by Grand Catalie fruit from Pauillac. A variety of St. Emilion Merlot vineyards soften the wine and Cabernet Franc enhances its flavors and balance.

2016 Cuvée Rive Gauche

The wine has scents of dried rose petal and spicy juniper on the nose accompanied by deep aromas of cedar and leather. On the palate it has a characteristic broad mouthfeel and beautiful density with hints of white pepper yielding to flavors of blueberry, black cherry and caramel. Firm tannins anchor a satisfying finish. Approachable now, it will continue to improve for another ten to twenty years.

SoMa Cellars 2018 Cuvée Rive Droite is a classic Right Bank Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend. In 2018, we sourced Merlot from three vineyards in St. Emilion and were lucky to also obtain fruit from two wonderful Pomerol vineyards. Blended with 80% Merlot is 10% Cabernet Franc, from St. Emilion and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from Pauillac. This produced a luscious well balanced example of the Right Bank style.

2017 Cuvée Rive Droite

Our second vintage of the Cuvée Rive Droit is 80% Right Bank Merlot and 20% Right Bank Cabernet Franc. The Merlot is La Pierre vineyard fruit with two other merlot vineyards from St. Emilion. The Cab Franc is equal parts Le Barrail and Le Carriere, both also from the St. Emilion Appellation. Patrick Saboe of The Wine Foundry assisted us with the final blendinf of our 2017 Bordeaux wines.

2019 GSM

SoMa Cellars 2019 GSM is a classic southern Rhone blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre. It shows a balance of intense, dark fruit flavors from the Syrah, red fruit delicacy and finesse from the Grenache and is rounded out by black pepper and tannic backbone of the Mouvedre. It is the perfect accompaniment to steak, prime rib, grilled or barbecued meats, mushrooms, Mexican cuisine and roasted chicken. Our GSM also goes well with chocolate and even brownies!

2020 Rosé

Our 2020 Clarksburg Rosé is made with 80% Tempranillo grapes and 20% Mouvedre. It’s style is reminiscent of a bone dry Spanish Rioja rosé. It is pale coral in color and offers delicate floral and fruit characteristics balanced with bright acidity. 2023 Sauvignon Blanc

Our 2023 Sauvignon Blanc was produced with fruit from the Wildwood Vineyard in Sonoma Valley. It is a crisp, refreshing, vibrant wine with a rich palate feel. The nose has heady citrus and lemongrass aromas. On the palate it opens with a wonderful tartness, showing its characteristic bright acidity and rolling into pleasing flavors of fresh nectarines, gooseberry and herbaceous notes. This is Ilene’s backyard wine, she loves opening a bottle with family and friends before dinner.

2023 Viognier

SoMa’s 2023 Viognier is sourced from the Catie’s Corner Vineyard in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. It is fresh, exuberant and a nice alternative for Chardonnay fans. It has a lovely straw color. The nose exudes exotic floral notes and perfumed aromas of violets, apple blossoms and peaches. The palate is marked by a generous mouthfeel and flavors of apricot and honeysuckle. It is crisp, clean and a wonderful accompaniment to food.
